A $2-billion mixed-use redevelopment of the Washington DC Southwest Waterfront known as “The Wharf.” The project includes the reconstruction of almost a mile of seawall, a 99-slip private yacht club marina, a 250 slip live-aboard marina, 50 slip transient marina and 8 major public access/commercial operation piers. Facilities include water taxi and ferry operations, dinner cruise port, recreational and charter boat docking, cruise ship port of call, marine fueling facilities, and paddle craft rentals.
Development Manager for nearly $88M of overwater development, including: Recreation Pier, Wharf Marina, Water Building 1 and Water Building 2. Manager in charge of contracting, design development & coordination, asset proforma, marina leasing plan, soft costs, permitting and project schedule. Responsibilities include reporting to executive team and General Partners on project schedule and financial performance & forecasting.
Construction Manager and Resident Engineer for all waterside aspects of The Wharf. Specific tasks included project coordination, scheduling, planning, design, permitting, construction management, change order review/negotiation, requisition review, regulatory agency coordination, and final walkthrough/turnover inspection. Includes management and oversight of Contractors, sub-consultants, and coordination with Architectural teams, planners and site designers.
Director of Maritime Operations (2017/2018) responsible for daily and seasonal operation of public piers, Wharf Marina, Market Docks and Commercial Operators. Responsibilities include lease negotiations, commercial operator management, and Wharf Jitney. Designated Person in Charge of site wide flood response monitoring and activation. Director of clean harbor initiatives and liaison to Habormaster, ACOE, DC Water, DOEE and DC City Council.
